Screeching Weasel has been a love ‘em or hate ‘em band since their formation in 1986. One of the front runners of the punk movement that found them crafting a world away from the mainstream with Green Day, Operation Ivy, Rancid and Jawbreaker, they have created an impeccable catalog that went on to inspire Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. Screeching Weasel has been permanently committed to independence, with a fiercely opinionated attitude. While being the stalwart thorn in the punk scene's side, they've written incredibly well-crafted punk songs on their own terms the whole time that defined a sound and influenced generations that followed. That die-hard, do-it-yourself attitude continues to this day. The 1992 album Wiggle is now being released on founder Ben Weasel's own Monona Records. The band finally got their hands on the original master tapes, which allowed them to remix and remastered the audio with Paul Miner (New Found Glory, H2O, Thrice). The improved sound quality brings this beloved punk classic to where it belongs after 25 years.
