Sacred Hate ignited a Youngstown, OH hardcore scene in 1987 bringing many regional and national acts to town. After making waves with their 1988 DIY LP Shades Of Grey combining metal and hardcore with a dark lysergic twist, the band began pushing their sound into hyperdrive. With recordings for a 2nd LP left unfinished after a sudden breakup, these 14 blistering tracks have been rescued from the vault, restored, and pressed at maximum volume as Bold As Love.
Fusing tribal rhythms with searing over-the-top guitar riffing and fierce, unpretentious vocals, this record abandons political clichés for raw songs about human relationships and questionable realities. Complete with mind-bending Citipati-meets-punk artwork, this release resurrects a crucial, forgotten chapter of Rust Belt hardcore history.
