Sole full-length from this short-lived Revolution Summer band that featured a pre-Fugazi Guy Piccioto on vocals and guitar. Though the word "emo" is often thrown around in relation to Rites of Spring, this really has a lot more energy and heaviness than anything that would be tagged with that word today. Basically, this is just punk music (maybe even hardcore?) with all of the macho-ness systematically removed, and it totally rules. If you dig more melodic stuff like Jawbreaker or even Articles of Faith you'll love this as well. Dischord Records
