After their great demo was given a flexi release by Boss Tuneage, Pandemix now deliver a ten track album, on the same label. The reason punk had such an affect on me as I was growing up was because, despite what adults would insist, the bands didn't all sound the same; they shared an intensity and an attitude but they made their own noise. So, I get really excited when a band comes along with what feels like a fresh approach; Pandemix are one of those bands. Of course, the influence of what has gone before is there, but they have managed to create their own sound, and to give you some idea of what that sound is like, imagine if the Subhumans had been listening to USHC before recording their first two albums, they may have sounded something like this; driving, intense, political and totally captivating, there isn't a duff song here. The CD version has an extra two songs which will appear on a forthcoming 7". Pandemix are your new favourite band, trust me.
