Neu-Ronz: S/T 7"

adult crash records

Debut 7" from this Swedish band on the great Adult Crash label. Adult Crash is one of the two labels that came out of the great Kick N Punch label, which is appropriate because Neu-Ronz is a bit of a throwback to the glory days of K-Town hardcore. They're definitely a bit more on the hardcore end of that spectrum--more Amde Petersen's Arme than Gorilla Angreb if you know what I'm saying--but like the great bands of that era they have this way of invoking the established conventions of early 80s USHC in a way that sounds fresh and not like mere mimicry. They also have a distinctive extra helping of snottiness that kind of reminds me of Dayglo Abortions' great Feed Us a Fetus LP. Definitely a recommended listen if your diet still includes plenty of old-style USHC.
