Flesh Eaters: A Minute to Pray A Second to Die 12

Finally, a spot-on official reissue of the best Flesh Eaters record. I'm a huge fan of their early stuff (their first LP, No Questions Asked, was also reissued recently), but it's tough to deny that this era of the band was something special. At this point the Flesh Eaters consisted of half of X as well as members of the Blasters, and these guys use their chops to bring Chris D's vision into the clearest focus it would ever achieve. I'm not even going to try to describe the actual music on this record... it's twisted, warped, dark, cinematic, and may or may not conform to your definition of what punk is, but if you want to hear a true great American rock album I highly suggest picking this up.
