Dag Nasty's legendary first album, remastered, reissued, and sounding and looking better than ever. This is kind of a bizarre record in the history of hardcore... clearly it was an attempt to take the harDCore formula and do something more melodic and accessible, but it's still very much tied to the early 80s hardcore sound and aesthetic. It's also been pinpointed as one of the most influential documents in the developments of emo and pop punk, but it doesn't really sound anything like what either of those genres would become just a few years later.
