Originally issued in 1970, Yeti, was quite a musical achievement at the time and contains some of the band's most impressive work, delivering their thick, full-fledged, multi-layered sound with dense instrumentation and a certain epic vastness. This is krautrock in the full depth of its power: huge, towering, dark and completely devoid of any optimism, but still full of whirling energy. Instrumentally Yeti is pure magic with some great psychey sitarish acoustic guitar plucking and hand percussion. The groundbreaking set also abounds in the fusion of electric guitar, bass and drum interplay like no other. The second LP in the set is totally devoted to improvisation and in itself stands up as some of the most intriguing music you're ever likely to hear. Reissued here on colored vinyl 2LP!
