Sorry State Dramatically Cuts International Shipping Rates and Offers FREE International Shipping to Some Countries!

After nearly a year of work, hours and hours on the phone, and much begging and pleading, Sorry State is now excited to offer cheap, fast international shipping through DHL. We can now ship internationally for a fraction of the cost of nearly every other distro in the United States. In most cases your package will be delivered by your normal mail carrier, so the only difference you will notice is that your shipping charge is a fraction of what it was before! If you DO NOT live in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, UK, Greece, Ireland, Israel, South Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden

Our rates are about HALF of US Postal Service rates to your country. For instance, after the recent rate change, USPS charges $21.61 to ship a typical LP to Australia, and most distros will charge you $23 or more for shipping in order to make up for the cost of the mailer, tape, and other handling expenses. However, we can now ship an LP to you for $12. Rates for larger parcels are similarly cheap.

Your rates are even cheaper. As I mentioned above, you’ll pay $23 or more in shipping from most distros, but we can ship an LP for only $8! As above, rates for larger parcels are still very cheap, so add a bunch more to your cart!

Speaking of large parcels, I really wanted to offer a free shipping tier for international orders to the countries in the list above, and here it is: if you order $150 worth of stuff from Sorry State your order ships FREE. That’s right, FREE. I realize that $150 is a lot of money, but it’s the best I can do at the moment. If I lose too much money I will have to cancel the free tier, but feel free to take advantage while it is here! Note, however, that the free shipping tier cannot be used alongside our shipping consolidation service, which we are still happy to offer. In order to take advantage of the free tier, you must spend at least $150 in a single order placed through our webstore. However, we do offer the cheap DHL rates for consolidated packages (as well as other special cases like webstore orders combined with ebay and/or discogs orders), so you’ll still save a lot of money by using the service!

Also, just to be clear, we can only offer the free shipping tier for the countries listed above, but if you place an order for $150 worth of merchandise and send me an email I’ll be glad to refund $25 of your purchase price if you live in Australia or another country not listed above.
