Siouxsie & The Banshees began life as a punk outfit (with Sid Vicious on drums) before mutating into post-punkers on their way to becoming one of the most influential goth rock bands of all time. To this day, decades after their disintegration, the group's fanatical fan base and influence continues to grow. After 1987's all-covers collection Through the Looking Glass, John Valentine Carruthers took his leave and was replaced by ex-Specimen guitarist Jon Klein and keyboardist Martin McCarrick for 1988's Peepshow, a techno-inspired outing that gave the group its first U.S. chart single with "Peek-a-Boo." Remastered from the original ¼" tapes and cut at half speed at Abbey Road studios, London. Both artwork and audio have personally been overseen and orchestrated bySiouxsie Sioux and Steven Severin.
