Siouxsie & The Banshees began life as a punk outfit (with Sid Vicious on drums no less) before mutating into post-punkers on their way to becoming one of the most influential goth rock bands of all time. To this day, decades after their disintegration, the group's fanatical fan base and influence continues to grow. 1984's dark and atmospheric Hyaena was the group's Mike Hedges (U2, Dido, Manic Street Preachers) produced Geffen debut and only album recorded with Robert Smith of The Cure whose presence is felt in the disciplined execution of standouts like "Dazzle" and "Swimming Horses." Remastered from the original ¼" tapes and cut at half speed at Abbey Road studios, London. Both artwork and audio have personally been overseen and orchestrated by Siouxsie Sioux and Steven Severin.
