Joey Bada$$ is a 19-year old rapper from Brooklyn, NY. He burst onto the scene in 2012 with the release of his 1999 mixtape, which was downloaded over 2 million times. Since then Joey has gone on several worldwide tours, performing with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, B.O.B., Disclosure, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, A$AP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T. and more.
In 2013, Joey released his Summer Nights mixtape, which was downloaded 2.3 million times including over 500,000 downloads on the very first day. Joey Bada$$ is also the lead MC of Pro Era, a collective of Brooklyn rappers consisting of CJ Fly, Nyck Caution, Kirk Knight, Chuck Strangers, Dyemond Lewis, A La$ole, Dessy Hinds and The 47s.
Joey Bada$$ is releasing his highly anticipated debut album, B4.DA.$$, in September 2014. The album features production from Hit Boy, J Dilla, Syience, Kirk Knight, Chuck Strangers, Carnage, Zo and Statik Selektah. In an interview with Topman Joey said there's "Definitely a few surprises. But you can just expect pure greatness, you know, I’m really putting my all into this."
