We are Derrumbe. A band born in the middle of a global pandemic. From a sick world and a rotten society. A product of uncertainty, despair, and rage. It is from all this chaos that our first album was born.
"El Animal Humano" (The Animal-Human) is the title of our first full-length LP, recorded and mixed in July 2024, in a self-managed space on the outskirts of Berlin.
"El Animal Humano" is a reflection of both you and us.
The album’s name speaks to our shared identity: humans as animals.
It delves into the tension between our raw, untamed instincts and the intricate complexity of what it means to be human.
The intro accompanies the listener into this small universe of contradictions and pain. In the middle of this scene, a small fire fed by hope burns. Finally, an outro helps you to go out and consider your reality.
The 18 minute track tells a short history of a human fighting to survive. No pause, no breath.
This album was born in the midst of a crisis and went through an accursed time. Now it presents itself as what it truly is: a new beginning.
