A bold and atmospheric departure from their earlier shoegaze sound, Pygmalion is Slowdive’s third studio album, originally released on February 6, 1995, via Creation Records. Marking their final release before disbanding later that year, the album leans into ambient minimalism and experimental textures, showcasing a stripped-back, electronic-infused approach. Pygmalion is the only Slowdive album to feature drummer Ian McCutcheon and remains a cult favorite for its introspective and boundary-pushing sound.
