Finnish rock giant Eppu Normaali, founded in Ylöjärvi in 1976, is turning 50 years old and will embark on a farewell tour of concert halls across Finland early this year. To celebrate, Svart Records will release limited vinyl editions of the band's first two albums on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Maximum Jee & Jee is Eppuje's second album and breakthrough album, released in the spring of 1979. The band moved from punk to more of a new wave direction with this album and it includes the hits "Njet Njet", "Myrkkyä", "Pidetään Äkvää" and "Jee Jee". The album went gold in 1986 and platinum in 1999.
