Pre-order report: April 28, 2026

We’re back with another rundown of the pre-orders that hit the Sorry State website this week.

First up this week, we have new releases from a couple of bands who started out broadly in Sorry State’s world and are now (apparently) trying to make the jump to a bigger pond. Cincinnati’s Artificial Go have released a couple of excellent records on Feel It, and now they’re moving on to big indie Carpark Records and their first release for them is a new 7” single called “Triple Ones.” Along similar lines, Denver’s Public Opinion are moving on from their previous home on Convulse Records for their new album Perpetual Motion Machine on SideOne Dummy.

A couple of 90s hip-hop classics get new reissues this week, and we have both available on standard black or limited color vinyl. Pick up Scarface’s Diary and Geto BoysWe Can’t Be Stopped now.

There’s a solid grip of new hardcore and metal releases announced this week. Quicksand has a new album called Bring on the Psychics coming out on Equal Vision Records and we have the indie exclusive coffee swirl vinyl as well as the blue/white swirl. Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats just announced their new album, and while that’s not available to order yet, we have the lead single “Don’t Let It Control You” available on blue, red, or black vinyl. 100 Demons has a new album called Embrace the Black Lightand we have it available on indie exclusive onyx marble vinyl. Mortiis has a new one called Gates of Europa and that’s out on clear, clear smoke, or black vinyl. And finally, 20 Buck Spin brings us the final album from Spirit Adrift.

We have a couple of new punky reissues up for pre-order this week. AFI’s breakout album Decemberunderground is coming back into print and we have an RSD Essentials version and a standard version available. The collection LP from San Diego punk legends the Zeros has a new pressing… an essential grip if you love 70s punk. And speaking of 70s punk, Fred and Toodie’s punk band the Rats’ self-titled album has a new pressing out on Mississippi.

Two big indie albums were announced this week too. We have Modest Mouse’s new album Eraser & A Maze on standard black and ocean floor blue vinyl and Boards of Canada’s new one Inferno on standard black and transparent red vinyl.

Finally, we have a new items for the normies in your life… or maybe you’re a normie? We don’t judge! Shaboozey has a new album coming called Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales , Nsync’s No Strings Attached has a new pressing, and Songs in the Key of Springfield is a double LP collecting music from _The Simpsons_’ long history.

As usual, that’s just the highlights… there’s plenty more available in the pre-orders section of the site.
