White Lung: Blow It South 7" (new)

Deranged Records

A brand new single from the almighty White Lung, and of course it's phenomenal. This is a band with a very well-defined sound that they don't tend to deviate from very much, but this single is something a little different. Mainly, it's that Mish's vocals are a bit different... a lot lower in register, which gives them more of a melodic sound than the kind of feminine bark she used to employ a lot of the time. The songs are maybe also a hair slower and a bit less frantic, a bit more pop. Still, you have that blistering lead guitar all over the place and one of the most powerful rhythm sections in music. Like all of their records, this one is highly recommended.
