Village Pistols: Big Money 7"

Last Laugh Records

Exacting repro of North Carolina's most substantial offering to the vintage KBD sweepstakes. As a proud North Carolinian, I'm obviously very attached to the a-side here, but it really is like the best track that Dangerhouse never released, sounding uncannily like the Rhino 39 and Dils records on that label, but even faster and more furious. As for the flip, it's an utter deconstruction of "Strawberry Fields Forever" that somehow manages to retain the Dangerhouse vibe, but this time there's a lot more Black Randy in the mix. Any way you slice it this is a true KBD scorcher. Last Laugh Records
