The story of Tankard is an exceptional one. The thrash metal force from Frankfurt, Germany known as the founders of "alcoholic metal" have been around since the early-80s spearheading a wave of German thrash bands like Kreator, Destruction and Sodom. While a lot of their contemporaries struggled, split and reunited, Tankard kept scratching and clawing, delivering one strong album after another. To honor these pillars of metal Noise Records is reissuing a series of classic Tankard titles on colored vinyl. Tankard's sixth studio album emerged in 1993 and while their counterparts were experimenting with industrial and nu metal sonics in the 90's the band stood firm and true to their thrash roots. Probably the most socio-political of Tankard's output, Two-Faced is an angry beast that sets aside their early humor in favor of a caustic sound with attacks on a sliding society. Yet another jewel in Tankard's crown.
