Slayer: Live Undead 12" ("blood splatter" vinyl)

Metal Blade Records

1984 live album from the almighty Slayer. It isn't often that live albums become a part of a band's received canon, but Live Undead is one of the essential Slayer albums, and for good reason. Not really a live album at all, the record was apparently recorded live in the studio in front of a few dozen fans, and like the best radio sets out there it combines the rough-and-ready quality of live performance with the better fidelity of the studio. This reissue has the original artwork and is pressed on what a sticker on the jacket describes as "blood splatter" color vinyl, but is actually a picture disc. Metal Blade Records
