Ratas del Vaticano: Tiempos de Austeridad 12"

Captcha Records

2010 full-length from this great Mexican band. I just love these guys... they have a really original sound, combining elements of hardcore, garage-punk, more progressive post/synth-punk like the Screamers, and god knows what else, filtering it all through the raw, blown-out desperation of Mexico City. It sounds like the album was home-recorded in batches, so every song sounds totally different. It's a lot of songs, but they're all worthwhile in different ways... just a great punk full-length that you'll be able to get into whether you're into catchy garage punk or raw and raging HC.
