Panico: 1985 7"

Sint Emores Records

Reissue 7" from this 80s Peruvian hardcore band. They never actually had a vinyl release, and this collects original recordings that have been passed around on cassette for nearly 30 years, albeit with a very authentically old-school layout. As for the music, Panico seemed to take cues from both raw UK82 punk and the burgeoning international hardcore scene, arriving at music that is both raw and aggressive, but well-written, catchy, and memorable. Comparisons to classic, catchy Spanish punk wouldn't be entirely off-base, nor would they have been out of place on the classic Las 4 Bandas compilation. Regardless, this is a nice little under-appreciated South American gem. Sint Emores
