No Sir I Won't: The Door 12

Debut 12" from this New England band featuring Dan from Libyans on drums. As on their earlier EP, No Sir I Won't (in case you don't get the reference in their band name) are heavily inspired by the early anarcho punk of Crass and Conflict. It's funny, there are a lot of anarcho-type around these days, but hearing NSIW makes me realize that most of them are inspired by the most post-punk leaning bands like Crisis and the Mob. NSIW's marching band rhythms and quirky arrangements, though, are pretty much straight up early Crass style, back when they were pretty darn catchy. Great-looking packaging on this one, too, including a printed inner sleeve and yellow vinyl. Framework Records
