Mystic Inane: The EPs of M/I 12" (new)

La Vida Es Un Mus

Nine track LP collection including MYSTIC INANE's three out of print previous seven inches. Freaked out FLIPPER meets RUDIMENTARY PENI acid punk from New Orleans who channels the weird vibes of earlier SACCHARINE TRUST and battles them against modern distorted hardcore creating a hybrid soundtrack to a bad trip. Whether it is accidental or on purpose MYSTIC INANE are as confusing as they are exciting.
The record comes housed in a 350 gsm reverse board sleeve with a 11x11 insert.

Our take: Mystic Inane, as I've emphasized here many times before, are a great band. In fact, I'd say that if you only follow half a dozen or so current bands in the whole universe of DIY hardcore, Mystic Inane should probably be one of those bands. Yes, they're that good, and more importantly they sound like what punk should be in 2016. This 12" collects all of their previously released material, and if you haven't been following my previous instructions to buy each of their releases, it provides a handy way to get yourself up to speed. There isn't any new material for those of us who have been following the band obsessively, but hey, you can't win them all. But really, everyone who listens to Mystic Inane wins. Go ahead, be a winner.
