Menthol: Plastic Garden cassette

Sorry State Records

Menthol's Plastic Garden cassette originally came out in a criminally small, self-released edition of something like 20 copies, but this music was too good to stay that obscure. Featuring members of numerous notable Greensboro, North Carolina bands like Wriggle, Bad Eric, and Holder's Scar, Menthol are a little bit different and less straightforward than the aforementioned bands. Incorporating some influence from Northwest Indiana bands like Big Zit and Coneheads, Menthol combine that artsier, more progressive sound with the gnarly, no-nonsense early 80s-style hardcore of their other bands to great effect. Limited to a one-time pressing of 100 copies on pro-duplicated cassettes with green printed shells.
