Another case of Sing Sing digging back a little further than the 70s punk stuff they're known primarily for, and this one is a gem. Liverpool Echo's 1973 LP is a slice of unabashed Beatles worship... and honestly I've rarely heard better. Clearly the band are in love with the older Merseybeat sound rather than the band's later psychedelic and rockin' stuff, and they pay a deft homage with these simple, powerful songs. The vocalist also sounds uncannily like Paul McCartney, which doesn't hurt when you're trying to do something like this. A real front-to-back banger that anyone into awesome, high-energy rock and roll should be able to get down with.
