Kafka: S/T 7"

Brain Solvent Propaganda Records

Taking insiration from Finnish and other 80's Scandinavian punk and adding their own flare and intensity, KAFKA makes some of the best punk going on right now. Hailing from Toyko Japan and rising from the ashes of MORPHEME and DROPEND to annihilate ear drums! Limited to 500 copies on red vinyl with fold out poster sleeve!

Our take: Debut 7" from this new Japanese band on the untouchable Brain Solvent Propaganda label. Man, this thing is out of control! I suppose on the surface it's pretty much just straightforward d-beat hardcore in the vein of Scandinavian classics like Anti-Cimex, Disarm, etc., but Kafka clearly have that extra something special, that little spring in their step that separates bands like Framtid from the huge pack of d-beat wannabes out there. Really, Framtid is probably your best reference point for Kafka, and if you like them (who doesn't?) you'll probably like this one too. Great packaging on this as well, which helps to justify the high price. It has a huge, 6-panel Crass Records-style fold-out poster sleeve with a rad 2-color design. Top-shelf stuff here for sure.
