Hunger: Dying Is Ordinary 7"

Muscle Horse Records

Debut 7" from this English band that have been going for quite some time. Their sound is dark, dischordant, claustrophobic... real nightmare music, but without resorting to any cliches. Parts of it actually remind me of later Darkthrone in that it's really rocking, but also super primitive, but at the same time I wouldn't call this a metal record at all. It's probably musically closer to something like the Necros, only without nightmare cries instead of vocals. A really powerful, intriguing, and totally unique 7" that should be on your radar if you've been paying attention to the recent UK HC scene. Also comes in a pretty stunning 2-color screen printed jacket.
