Gas Rag: Human Rights 7"

Beach Impediment Records

Their demo has been lighting up the internets for a few months, and now we're treated to the debut vinyl from Chicago's Gas Rag. These guys have a really awesome sound that doesn't really sound like anything else but is still punk as hell. Jerry's Kids seems like an immediate comparison, but there are also elements of faster d-beat stuff as well as some of the quirkiness of classic midwest HC like Mecht Mensch. I don't think a United Mutation comparison would be too off the mark either, though this is obviously fueled by glue rather than acid. At any rate, there's a reason this band's name is on the tip of everyone's tongue... they totally smoke. Beach Impediment Records
