Francis Harold and the Holograms: The White Bull Weeps 12"
Final 12" from this noisy and nasty California garage band. Though there are track markers indicated on the vinyl (which is gorgeous, by the way... a one-sided clear vinyl LP that's screen-printed on the b-side), apparently this is one long composition that sort of twists and turns and folds in on itself. Given that description you might expect some kind of formless art school mess, and while parts of the song might degenerate into that, on the whole it's a pretty rocking, riffy punk song of the type that Francis Harold is known. A fitting epitaph for a consistently intriguing and engaging band. Video Disease Records
