Reissue of this rare hardcore EP from 1983 New Orleans. This is pretty much 100% by-the-book early 80s hardcore... I'm reminded of numerous bands like the Clitboys, Dayglo Abortions, much of the early Mystic catalog. A lot of bands from all over the country had this sound, i.e. straightforward hardcore with sarcastic lyrics, kind of sloppy playing, and slight metallic flourishes here and there. Disappointed Parents do distinguish themselves with a particularly strong guitar-player, and those of us who can never seem to get enough early 80s HC will definitely pound our fists along to this one.
