Re-release of this gnarly New Jersey band's demo cassette (which we also carried) on a flexi. Dilate are total apocalyptic d-beat... noisy as hell, pounding, and full of densely layered lead guitar. The inspiration here is obvious--Why?-era Discharge and Disclose--and I have to say that Dilate completely knock it out of the park. This recording is just bursting with energy, which is something that you can't really say about 90% of d-beat bands. Basically, if you're still listening to new d-beat bands in the year 2015 you need to get this, because it is, by leaps and bounds, the best record in this style I've heard in some time.
