Barcelona: Extremo Nihilismo en Barcelona 12"

La Vida Es Un Mus

Debut 12" from this new band featuring the singer from Firmeza 10. Spain continues its current trend of absolutely killing it, making punk music that is simultaneously grittier, angrier, smarter, and somehow real-er than just about anywhere else in the world. If you dig Glam and Un Bestia's style of dense, surprising songwriting and arrangement you'll love Barcelona as they offer a similarly skewed take on traditional hardcore, but at the same time they fuse it with the very straightforward and catchy sound of Firmeza 10 and Sudor. Like Sudor, these songs are obviously inspired by Discharge, but the sound is cleaner, emphasizing the catchiness of the riffs and rhythms rather than just focusing solely on the heaviness. And oh, those vocals! They're easily some of the angriest, nastiest, and most memorable in hardcore today. Another winner from La Vida Es Un Mus.
