For our 4th release, we were talking to a few bands, but no one seemed to stick out more than New York's BACKTRACK. With hardcore getting bigger, and with more shitty bands that keep popping up every single day, it's a breath of fresh air when you get to hear some real shit. Hailing from Long Island, New York, these guys play punishing hardcore the way it was meant to be played. The new generation of NYHC has arrived. Following the path their New York forefathers paved, BACKTRACK comes at you hard. Their sound is reminiscent of early Blackout Records' bands. Think Outburst, Raw Deal, Life's Blood... think Where The Wild Things Are. It hasnt even been a year yet and they have already shared the stage with Madball, Cro-Mags, Merauder, Sick of it All, Murphy's Law, Maximum Penalty, etc. Flatspot Records and New York hardcore couldn't be prouder to have them added to the family.
