"I once saw Daniel of Skrewball shout “Get a real job!” at a bunch of machine-gun carrying soldiers out training on Dartmoor. I thought that was pretty ballsy and cool. A couple of times a month he runs a Food Not Bombs stall giving out homecooked meals for anyone who needs it, which I think it’s also really fucking cool and selfless. AND NOW THIS!! Skrewball takes his love of punk music and dislike of the military industrial complex and funnels it into four tracks of red-hot, fat-planet sounding, youth crew hardcore. Like anyone that has a social conscience - the fear is real here and the neurosis at a system that is so terrifyingly fucked comes through in this ep. Stressed out vocals and chunky hardcore that swims effortlessly through moments of NYHC swagger, subtly influenced Dead Kennedy’s riffage, to the upbeat-pop of Angel Dust, and straight-up, fast-as-hell, Revelation Records style youth crew. These four songs contain a whole bunch of punk and hardcore influences, but the force at core of Skrewball’s unique sound is the human being with a social conscious that isn’t afraid to say “fuck you” to a bunch of assholes with machine guns. It shines through in the music and makes this EP one of the freshest sounding records you’re gonna hear all year – a real hardcore treat for ya." - Hamish Adams
