The Satan in Love – Rare Finnish Synth-Pop & Disco 1979-1992 compilation album, released in 2018 and compiled with piety, presented mainly gems of domestic disco and synapop that were recorded in the 80s, and which have received less attention. DJ, journalist and music researcher Mikko Mattlar curated a breath-taking collection of 22 songs that dived into the deep end of the history of Finnish electronic music. The collection aroused enormous enthusiasm internationally as well, and the album's editions were sold out. This album, which instantly became an expensive collector's item, is now being reissued.

The vinyl records of the 1,000-copy edition of the album will be released in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, after all, the original cover color of the album is almost completely identical to the colors of the flag of the country suffering from the Russian invasion. According to Svart Records production manager Jarkko Pietarinen, the connection was wanted to be used for good.

- We were already putting the reprint of the Satan In Love collection into production at the end of February. After the war in Ukraine broke out, we noticed an opportunity to influence and decided to ask the vinyl factory Optimal Media if it would be possible to press the records in an accelerated schedule. When this was confirmed, we rolled up our sleeves and got down to business.

On the compilation album you can find e.g. Fred's legendary space disco It's strange, Imatra's cult band Stressi, Stiina's confusing translation robot disco drive Automaatirakas, Leevi & The Leavings with their synthesizer heads and even Meiju Suvas with a synthetic mood in 1983. The Ukrainian edition of the Satan In Love double vinyl documenting domestic music history will be released on May 27, 2022 and can be order in advance from the online stores of Svart Records and Levykauppa Äx. Svart Records and Levykauppa Äx direct the proceeds from the album through Unicef's children's aid to war victims.
