Following the band's Global Citizen One World: Together at Home concert performance, The Rolling Stones release the new song, "Living In A Ghost Town." Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, it's the band's first newly-composed material since the tracks "Doom & Gloom" and "One More Shot," from their 50th anniversary compilation GRRR! in 2012. The lilting number has a strong singalong chorus and prominent harmonica detail by Jagger. It was started in the Stones' sessions for their next album and was recently completed in isolation due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Explains Jagger: "So the Stones were in the studio recording some new material before the lockdown and there was one song we thought would resonate through the times that we're living in right now. We've worked on it in isolation. And here it is – it's called ‘Living In A Ghost Town' – I hope you like it." "We cut this track well over a year ago in L.A. for part of a new album, an ongoing thing, and then shit hit the fan," continues Richards. "Mick and I decided this one really needed to go to work right now and so here you have it, ‘Living In A Ghost Town'."

Pressed here on colored 10" vinyl, "Living In A Ghost Town" will also be accompanied by an official music video showcasing empty cities around the world.
