Wall Breaker is a new straight edge hardcore punk band with members from NJ and VA. Heavily influenced by bands like SSD and Life's Blood, but played with the speed of some of the early 00's era thrash bands. This is Trump era hardcore. Released on Bleeding Edges Label and Absolute Contempt Records.

Our take: Demo cassette from this new hardcore band out of New Jersey. To my ear, they kind of fuse the song structures (they got breakdowns) and a little bit of the melodic riffing of youth crew with the heavier production and more nihilistic attitude of stuff like Kings of Punk / Feel the Darkness-era Poison Idea or Cro-mags. There‰۪s also something kind of late-90s sounding about it‰Û_ maybe it‰۪s the mix, which is very vocal-and-snare-drum heavy, or maybe it‰۪s the drumbeats themselves, but it has a little bit of that Tear It Up vibe or maybe even Deathreat in the way that it kind of sounds like a band who want to play music that‰۪s a little heavier and meaner, but their style of writing riffs and formulating songs is still kind of grounded in youth crew-type hardcore. It‰۪s not a style that I‰۪m particularly drawn to, but Wall Breaker wear it well and are bound to inspire more than their fair share of skanking and pigpiling.
