DD Owen (Sick Thoughts) meets Shitty Life, Wild Italian Punk band!!! Shitty Life wrote the songs and Drew sang on em!!! Three bombs dropped on your face!!! K.B.D.!!! Punk!!! Lo-Fi !!!!Fucking Great!!!!

Our take: Collaborative 7" between DD Owen (who you might also know as the man behind Sick Thoughts, Chicken Chain, and numerous others) and the Italian punk band Shitty Life. Drew uses the DD Owen pseudonym on this release, which seems to connect it implicitly to the slightly more pop-oriented (at least in an early GG Allin kind of way) material he's been releasing under that moniker as of late, but you won't find much melody here. Shitty Life, while having the scratchy and thin guitar sound that you might associate with a lot of modern garage-punk, are actually faster, tighter, and busier than most bands playing that style, giving them more of a hardcore feel. The end result is something in the vein of bands like Dean Dirg or Henry Fiat's Open Sore... bands that effectively toed the line between garage-punk and hardcore. Drew proves himself a capable frontman here as well, spitting out vocal lines that are at least as memorable as what he saves for his own releases. If you can keep up with Owen's many, many releases this is another solid entry to his growing section on your record shelf.
