Naz Nomad & the Nightmares (the Damned): Give Daddy... 12"

$9.50

Here's a real underlooked gem... in 1984 the Damned went into the studio under the name of "Naz Nomad & the Nightmares" and cut this LP paying homage to the group's roots in 60s psychedlia. Of course the Damned themselves were heavily inspired by that era of music, so in practice the Naz Nomad stuff isn't all that different from the Damned, but the ferocity with which they attack these 12 songs (most of which are covers of Nuggets-era classics like "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)" and "Nobody But Me") is palpable throughout. The Damned were obviously a great band who could play anything, and hearing them at their loosest and funnest is almost revelatory. Dionysus Records
