"The Cavemen have been described as looking like “a cross between the Gun Club and the Cramps” with a sound that’s “a crossbreed between GG Allin and the Dwarves and a slew of other degenerate lo-fi punk groops”... “four stone age cretins who live and bleed for rock’n’roll. Everything in their performance screams of frustration, anger and a furious energy that makes it a true rock’n’roll experience.”

Our take: Two-song single from this garage-punk band from... I have no idea! The two songs here are pretty killer though. The title track is a balls-to-the-wall ripper, approaching near-hardcore speeds and giving me a little bit of a Blood, Guts & Pussy-era Dwarves vibe, but even rawer, nastier, and drenched in wild, out of control guitar soloing. The second track is a comparatively mid-paced number that sounds like an outtake from the first GG Allin LP, but again with some wild and nasty soloing. It's all suitably drenched in fuzz and nastiness, but no so much that it loses the catchiness. So short that it feels like it's over by the time you walk from your turntable back to your chair, but I guess records were made for replaying, right?
